Work & Placement

At the moment I have only completed one weeks placement, in a small design studio called 'Stamp Design For You'. I worked here for a week which was paid, however it was not how I expected it to be, I enjoyed the weeks placement, however it made me realise that I am not sure whether this is the type of working environment for me, I was only able to create small vectors on illustrator as I had hoped for more work than this.

Freelance design is something that has become more appealing to me after the work experience, so in order to get myself out there I have handed out my business cards and used my social media design account to try and contact potential clients that are more suited to me and my practice. 

Work after uni

I recently had a brief meeting with the manager and owner of a local cocktail bar 'Lime Tyger' and I showed them a small selection of my work from my mini portfolio. Currently they are about to have some renovation done, and I have been asked to complete a piece of live art on one of the walls; unfortunately the date for this is to be completed slightly later than this course end date, during the month of June, however it will give me that extra experience needed to be a creative in the outside world, and I am really looking forward to this up and coming project. 

The work that they would like me to create is to be done there and then on the wall, and they have asked for something illustrative, so in order to plan when and what will be completed another, meeting has been arranged to discuss this.
